ABSTRACT This paper describes the radiographic appearance of the proximal femur and acetabulum after excision arthroplasty for chronic hip lameness in the dog. An attempt has been made to correlate the various radiographic appearances with the clinical findings. The fate of spurs of bone left at the site of resection has been investigated. A constant finding was remodelling of the acetabulum and proximal femur; the results of this remodelling are described.
