Identification of octachlorohydroxydiphenyl ethers in technical pentachlorophenol

Abstract

Five hydroxyoctachlorodiphenyl ethers present in technical pentachlorophenol have been isolated and tentatively identified. Electron impact mass spectrometry and electron capture negative ion chemical ionization mass spectrometry were used to assist in the identification.
