Abstract

Abstract The reaction of 2,4-pentadienyltrimethylstannane with α,β-unsaturated carbonyl compounds and p-quinones in the presence of Lewis acid affords the corresponding pentadienylated products in fair to good yield without formation of any Diels–Alder adduct.
