An All‐Vanadium(III) Hexametalate Lindqvist Structure and Its Chromium and Iron Analogues

Abstract

Lindqvist structures: We report the isolation of the all-vanadium(III) analogue (see figure) of the fully reduced (all-vanadium(IV)) hexavanadate structure from formal substitution of the {VIIICl}2+ and {VIVO}2+ fragments. The chemistry can be extended to the analogous CrIII and FeIII cluster anions. Magnetic data for the series are presented.
