Abstract A very simple and fast method for the synthesis of N‐acylamino acids and peptides from the benzoyl‐ and cinnamyl type is described. The method is based on the use of N‐hydroxysuccinimide as reagent (active ester method). The characteristics and chromatographic parameters of some new benzoylglycines are given.
