Abstract

Multiple talents: A coordinatively unsaturated rhodium-hydride (RhH) species is formed from [Rh(OH)(cod)]2 without any additional hydride sources. The formation of the RhH species is confirmed by using 1H NMR analysis and hydride transfer reactions using deuterated olefins. This RhH species displays excellent catalytic performances in the isomerization of olefins. Detailed facts of importance to specialist readers are published as "Supporting Information".
