Abstract

Go with the flow: Homogeneous catalyst recycling can be applied to the production of aldehydes in a continuous flow nanofiltration reactor (see picture) that can operate for an unprecedented period of up to two weeks without showing typical deactivation or leaching phenomena. The catalyst is based on a bulky, rigid, and robust silsesquioxane-modified PPh3 ligand, and combines efficient recovery with high activity and selectivity.
