Abstract

Pulmonary vascular congestion and edema involving predominantly the upper lobe of the right lung in patients with severe mitral regurgitation occurs more frequently than previously thought. This information is useful in the differential diagnosis of right upper lobe abnormalities, such as pneumonia.
