ODONATA (INSECTA) FROM NORTHERN IRAN, WITH COMMENTS ON THEIR PRESENCE IN RICE FIELDS

Abstract

Odonata are considered effective predators to control pest organisms in rice fields. In the rice fields and other sites located in Northern Iran (Mazandaran Province) during 2003-2006, the 30 species from 19 genera and 8 families of Odonata (both suborders Zygoptera and Anisoptera) were collected and evaluated.
