Phosphorus-Boron Interaction in Nickel-Base Superalloys

Abstract

The effect of B on the properties of superalloys has been known for many years and is well documented in the literature. There is, however, very little published information on the effect of P content in Ni-base superalloys. This paper describes the results of an experimental program to study the effects of P content in Allvac 718 and Waspaloy, particularly as it interacts with B content.
