Thrombocytopenia in neonates with polycythemia: incidence, risk factors and clinical outcome

Abstract

Thrombocytopenia occurs in 51% of neonates with polycythemia and is independently associated with growth restriction. Increased hematocrit is associated with decreased platelet count.
