Phenyl Silaisocyanide: The First Organosilicon Compound with a Formal SiN Triple Bond

Abstract

The presumably linear CNSi group is present in phenyl silaisocyanide 3, an organosilicon compound with terminal silicon of coordination number 1. 3 was generated pyrolytically from the triazidosilane 2 and characterized by photoelectron spectroscopy.
