Abstract In order to determine whether asymmetric selection polymerization of alkylene oxide occurs by a polymer chain‐end controlled mechanism or by a catalyst controlled mechanism, copolymerizations of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide are carried out in the presence of asymmetric catalyst. The results show that the stereoselective propagation is catalyst controlled.
