Investment in copper, silver, and gold: A difunctional DNA template is first immobilized on a functionalized substrate by a copper-catalyzed reaction, modified with silver nucleation centers, and then metalized by gold deposition. The diameter of the resulting metallically conductive nanowires can be adjusted. Detailed facts of importance to specialist readers are published as ”Supporting Information”.
