Abstract

The utilization and production of biofuels (ethanol and biodeisel) has grown enormously over the past few years and its growth is expected to continue in the next decade. This report discusses various issues related to biofuels. Chapter 1 presents trends and facts related to biofuels. Chapter 2 discusses the quantitative analysis of biofuel developments and policies, and describes the methodology and results of the analysis. Chapter 3 relates and compares the benefits and costs of biofuel support. Chapter 4 presents recommendations for biofuels policy.
