Expressions of Matrix Metalloproteinases in Early-Stage Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma as Predictive Indicators for Tumor Metastases and Prognosis

Abstract

Expressions of MMP-9 and TIMP-2 have predictive value for tumor metastases and cause-specific survival. High expression of TIMP-2 is the most independent factor for worse prognosis in early-stage oral SCC.
