This study analyzes the effect of self-directed financial learning using employer-provided financial newsletters, financial publications, financial planning software, and the Internet on financial management practices, financial satisfaction, and career satisfaction. The sample consists of lowerlevel, white-collar workers of a national insurance agency. The results demonstrate the effectiveness of self-directed financial learning and the role good financial management practices play in the relationship of financial learning with financial satisfaction and workers’ satisfaction with their career progression.
