Initial experience with high-dose radioimmunotherapy of metastatic medullary thyroid cancer using 131I-MN-14 F(ab)2 anti-carcinoembryonic antigen MAb and AHSCR.

Abstract

The results show the safety of administering high myeloablative doses of 131I-MN-14 F(ab)2 with AHSCR in patients with metastatic medullary thyroid cancer. The antitumor responses in patients with aggressive, rapidly progressing disease are encouraging and warrant further research to optimize the effectiveness of this new treatment.
