Abstract

Quickly does it: Imaging of transient species along the CI bond dissociation of CH3I in the A-band is done by means of femtosecond pump–probing and velocity mapping. A crucial novelty is the non-resonant nature of the probing ionization step, which permits the detection of both transient species and final products of the dissociation process (see picture).
