Pericryptal fibroblast sheath in intestinal metaplasia and gastric carcinoma

Abstract

We successfully demonstrated that the epithelium as well as the mesenchyme changed from the gastric type to the intestinal type in intestinal metaplasia and that PCFS disappeared in intestinal-type gastric carcinoma.
