Abstract An unprecedented route for the synthesis of 3,3′‐biindoles is developed. Both symmetrical and unsymmetrical 3,3′‐biindoles could be generated by this method. Mild conditions, high yields of the products, and environmentally acceptable reagent are the merits of the procedure.
