Use of IFC Model Servers - Modelling Collaboration Possibilities in Practice

This report is a result of a research project, which has been carried out with focus on possible improvements on the way partners in building construction projects collaborate in building modelling by use of model servers based on the international standard Industry Foundation Classes (IFC).The project was initiated by leading members of IAI in Denmark, who also performed a preliminary study about available model servers.The primary research work has been carried out by researchers at Aalborg University and Aarhus School of Architecture.Several others, however, have also
