Abstract

This paper proposes a novel ZVS Z-source rectifier, describes the operating principle, control strategy, and superiority. The three-phase ZVS Z-source rectifier implements the zero voltage turn-on (ZVS) for power transistors and zero-current turn-off (ZCOFF) for diodes without any additional circuits. It can buck and boost input voltage, and increase the reliability of the circuit. Thus it provides a low-cost, reliable, and highly efficient single-stage structure for buck or boost power conversion.
