Complexes with an η²‐μ₂‐SiO Bridge. Structure of the Bimetallic Complex

Abstract

An MM′SiO four-membered ring characterizes complexes 1 and 2. The novel η2-μ2-SiO bridge of 1 is “hemilabile” in solution (only one OMe 1H NMR signal), whereas it is stable for 2. These findings could contribute to a better understanding of coordinatively unsaturated, catalytically active multinuclear complexes on supports such as SiO2 ( Ph2PCH2PPh2).
