Structural model of two-level glass states

Abstract

Specific structural models are proposed for two-site atoms in chalcogenide glass alloys and other glasses. The models agree well with experiment and moreover connect low-temperature anomalies in the specific heat, thermal conductivity, and ultrasonic attenuation with luminescence anomalies in these materials.
