Pediatric Peripherally Inserted Central Catheters: Complication Rates Related to Catheter Tip Location

Abstract

Centrally placed catheter tips are associated with fewer complications than are noncentrally placed catheter tips. Clinicians should ensure that catheter tips reside centrally after PICC placement in infants and children.
