A novel one pot synthesis of β-hydroxy-1,4-disubstituted-1,2,3-triazoles has been developed by using CuFe<sub>2</sub>O<sub>4</sub> nanoparticles. This protocol involves easily recyclable catalyst in water and avoids the handling of azides as they are generated <italic>in situ</italic>.
