Mycobacterium tuberculosis DNA in tissues affected by sarcoidosis

Abstract

This study has shown the absence of MTb DNA in lymph node and lung biopsy samples from patients with sarcoidosis. MTb is therefore unlikely to be a factor in the pathogenesis of this disease.
