Alexithymia and Personality in Relation to Dimensions of Psychopathology

Abstract

A broad range of current psychopathology is associated with difficulties in cognitively processing emotional perceptions. Further research needs to clarify whether alexithymia represents a risk factor for mental illness and poorer outcome.
