HIV Infections and Associated Costs Attributable to Syphilis Coinfection Among African Americans

Abstract

Syphilis prevention could reduce HIV incidence rates and the disproportionate burden of HIV/AIDS on the African American community, resulting in substantial reductions in future HIV/AIDS medical costs.
