Periprosthetic DXA after total hip arthroplasty with short vs. ultra-short custom-made femoral stems

Abstract

This study shows the flexibility of DXA in adapting the protocol of periprosthetic analysis to the specific requirements of new implant designs, and it shows its high sensitivity in evaluation of the biological response of bone to changes in implant shape.
