Melano‐macrophage centres in whitemouth croaker, Micropogonius <i>furnieri</i>, as biological indicators of environmental changes

Abstract

Quantitative analysis of the melano‐macrophage centres in the Micropogonius furnieri were made. The results obtained showed a stimulation of the mononuclear phagocytic system related to the presence of contaminants.
