Apelin: A potential link between inflammation and cardiovascular disease in end stage renal disease patients

Abstract

Apelin is related to echocardiographic features and inflammatory markers in hemodialyzed patients. Apelin may provide a mechanism for systemic inflammatory monitoring and adaptive regulation of cardiovascular function.
