Abstract

Skin microvascular function is associated with blood pressure and insulin's metabolic and vasodilatatory actions, both in normotensive and hypertensive subjects. These findings offer a potential mechanistic explanation of the links among insulin resistance, impaired insulin-mediated vasodilatation and hypertension.
