Risk Factors of Nontunneled Noncuffed Hemodialysis Catheter Malfunction

Abstract

Catheterization of the internal jugular vein is associated with longer catheter survival when compared to the femoral vein. Hemodialysis catheters should be placed, if possible, in internal jugular vein to prevent their premature malfunction.
