Studies on vitamin D, I. the synthesis of vitamin D₃ 3 C¹⁴

Abstract

Abstract The synthesis of vitamin D 3 3 C 14 is described. Special attention has been paid to the technique of the photochemical conversion of 7‐dehydro‐cholesterol 3C 14 (small quantities) and to the isolation of the labelled vitamin D 3 from the irradiation mixture. Some biological experiments are briefly communicated.
