Smoking, Use of Moist Snuff, and Risk of Chronic Inflammatory Diseases

Abstract

Smokeless tobacco does not increase the risk of chronic inflammatory diseases, suggesting that inhaled nonnicotinic components of cigarette smoke are more important than nicotine itself in the etiology of these diseases.
