Trapped Albedo Theory of the Radiation Belt

Abstract

A theory is described for the radiation belt of the earth which gives the energy spectnnm, angular distribution, and intensity of the radiation with distance from the earth. The results are not compatible with data reported by Explorer satellites I and III but are compatible with preliminary reports from ExployerIV. (W.D.M.)
