Using similarity considerations, the flow in a two-dimensional jet of an incompressible pseudo-plastic power-law fluid has been discussed. In the general case the stream function has been expressed in terms of incomplete beta functions. For the case when the flow behaviour index is 1/3, the velocity profile has been drawn. It has also been shown that the boundary layer thickness varies as K 1/ (1+ n ) where K and n are the consistency and flow behaviour indices of the fluid.
