Abstract

Abstract Developments since 1960 include the mark II Willmore seismometer, the long period A.W.R.E. seismometer, the techniques of recording and processing for multichannel arrays, and the techniques of recording and playback which have come into use at Edinburgh. As the array work will be covered in other papers, this presentation will draw attention to the special features of the seismometers and of the Edinburgh system.
