Cathodic stripping analysis has been shown to be an extremely sensitive technique for the determination of compounds that form insoluble mercury salts. The experimental parameters governing the application of this technique have been studied and applied to the determination of sodium diethyl-dithiocarbamate. The results obtained were compared with those from conventional d.c. polarography, a.c. polarography and linear potential-sweep chrono-amperometry.
