A novel assembly technique is used to construct organized single-walled carbon nanotube (SWNT) networks. The assembly mechanisms are studied and the electrical and structural characterization of the fabricated micro- and nanoscale SWNT structures (see image) are performed. This approach is simple, scalable, and compatible with CMOS processes. The assembled networks can be directly used for interconnects, FETs, nanoswitches, sensing elements, and other electronic devices including flexible electronics.
