Summary Cryosurgery is an easy, safe and highly acceptable means of treating chronic cervicitis and erosions. One hundred and thirty‐two patients were reassessed after cryosurgery had been performed in the out‐patients department without anaesthesia or analgesia: treatment was successful in 125 instances (95 per cent).
