Abstract

Age-linked epidemiology of disease generally differs in prevalence, incidence and severity at presentation. Coronary Heart Disease (CHD) is a group of closely related syndromes resulting from myocardial ischemia. CHD is a major cause of morbidity and mortality in the developed as well as in developing countries. When it occurs below 60 years in women and 55 years in men, it is called premature coronary artery disease (CAD). CHD occurring at age below 40 years is termed as CAD in young.
