Inverse determination of the penalty parameter in penalized weighted least‐squares algorithm for noise reduction of low‐dose CBCT

Abstract

A technique was proposed to estimate the penalty parameter for PWLS algorithm. It provides an objective and efficient way to obtain the penalty parameter for image restoration algorithms that require predefined smoothing parameters.
