Abstract

Abstract Specific heat studies on linear high polymers in the temperature range 0° to 400°K are reviewed and the temperature dependence of the specific heats of high polymers is discussed. The detection of reversible and irreversible transitions in high polymers by specific heat measurements is also considered. Thermodynamic properties derived from specific heat data are listed for several polymers. Suggestions are made for further research.
