Abstract

AAT treatment was safe and well tolerated in pediatric subjects with recently diagnosed autoimmune diabetes. Placebo-controlled studies with larger cohorts and dose range are warranted in order to assess efficacy in maintaining pancreatic beta cell reserve and glycemic control.
