Pioglitazone Reduces Atherogenic Index of Plasma in Patients with Type 2 Diabetes

Abstract

Pioglitazone reduced AIP when used as monotherapy or in combination therapy with sulfonylurea, metformin, or insulin. AIP was inversely correlated with measures of insulin sensitivity.
