An analytical method for designing monolithic, broadband transimpedance amplifiers with inductive peaking is presented. Closed-form, symbolic solutions for the small-signal transimpedance are developed the effects of different types of inductive peaking on system performance are analyzed, and it is shown that it is possible to optimize system performance through proper choice of inductance. Both ideal and nonideal inductors are analyzed.< <ETX xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">></ETX>
