Prevalence of the Metabolic Syndrome Among Omani Adults

Abstract

The prevalence of the metabolic syndrome in Oman is similar to that in developed countries. Future prevention and control strategies should not overlook the importance of noncommunicable disease risk factors in rapidly developing countries.
